Rush Week continued last night (February 19th) on American Idol with the Top 15 Guys. 10 contestants would be selected to perform, and the remaining 5 would be eliminated. Sorry to say, that included Savannah's own Jordan Brisbane who did not make the cut. (Remember, Candice Glover auditioned THREE times before she made it!)
22-year-old musician Caleb Johnson was the first called to the stage and he performed The Faces "Stay with Me". "There are certain things you can't learn. You can't learn to sing like that. You're so natural and that was a perfect song" said judge Keith Urban. 24-year-old Emmanuel Zidor decided to sing the Emotions "Best of My Love". "The performance started to go off kilter a little bit. It started to get a little bit out of control. You have got all of the bigness there. You have all of the giant performing ability there. Just make sure that you still sing the song that you want to sing." said judge Harry Connick Jr.
24-year-old student George Lovett selected the song "Grenade" by Bruno Mars for his performance. "It was kind of one note. No pun intended. I've heard you sing better." said judge Harry. 19-year-old contestant Spencer Lloyd took the final spot to compete for America's vote. He performed "Love Don't Die" by The Fray. He received mixed reviews, with judge Harry saying "When you sang "Say Something" in Hollywood Week at the piano, that is your strong suit. This is not your strong suit. Stick to what you know. This was not good".
