She won BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT and has one of the most incredible voices. Susan Boyle's latest album, "Home for Christmas," which was released yesterday, Oct. 29, 2013, contains a duet by Boyle and Elvis Presley, who died in 1977. He recorded "O Come All Ye Faithful" in 1971, and now Boyle has added her vocals to that recording. This is a fabulous job for a great cause.
Music bosses have combined her vocals with those of Elvis ... to raise money for charity Save The Children, of which Susan is an ambassador. ... The 52-year-old singer is hoping to land the U.K. Christmas number one spot when the song is released on December 8. ... She has revealed that it was her mentor Simon Cowell's idea for a collaboration with Presley.
"Simon contacted Elvis' widow Priscilla Presley to get permission to record the track. Susan said: 'My dad and my whole family were Elvis fans and she gave me permission.'"
Boyle said "she is convinced that [Elvis'] ghost paid her a visit while she was performing the track in the studio. 'I do sometimes feel his presence when I sing the song. I think he would be excited if he heard it and he liked it. Duetting with Elvis was beyond my wildest dreams.''
