Say goodbye to McSteamy. Eric Dane is leaving Grey's Anatomy.

In a statement to TV Line, the actor, who played Dr. Mark Sloan, says, "I am extremely grateful to everyone at Grey's, ABC and Shondaland for the experience and memories I have had over the course of this run. It has been wonderful to work alongside and learn from a creative force such as [the show's creator] Shonda Rhimes."

Grey's Anatomy's ninth season premieres September 27th on ABC.

Simon Cowell isn't always mean to his reality show contestants.

The surly judge recently plunked down $500,000 to upgrade all 160 X Factor contestants to a "nicer" hotel because he wanted to reward them and he didn't want them slumming in a "regular" hotel. He put them all in the exclusive Mondrian Miami South Beach Hotel and promised to cover all their meals during the audition process.

Robert Pattinson is moving out of the home he's been sharing with Kristen Stewart, according to People.com. Pattinson is said to be "heartbroken" over Kristen's fling with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, despite her very public apology yesterday (Wednesday).

There's no word on whether the move is permanent or just for the two to cool off.

The resort where Katherine Jackson was staying when she was MIA insists that she had full access to the phone and wi-fi, despite her insistence that she was cut off from the outside world. Katherine has said that the only reason she wasn't in touch with the rest of the family to discuss care of Michael's three children was that she was unable to call. But a rep for Arizona's Miraval Resort tells TMZ that's simply not the case. Katherine's lack of contact was one of the factors in the family court's decision to give custody of the kids to Tito's son TJ.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Katherine could be losing a major perk if TJ gets permanent custody of Paris, Prince and Blanket -- the $70,000-a-month allowance the court ordered for their care.

Russell Brand made a deal with prosecutors this morning (Thursday) that will keep him out of jail for smashing a paparazzo's iPhone in New Orleans a few months ago. The actor -- who was charged with misdemeanor criminal damage -- has to pay $500 in court fees and perform 20 hours of community service by August 31st in order to get the case dismissed. He would have faced up to six months in jail if convicted.

Jeremy Renner committed quite a boner on a recent flight from London to Los Angeles -- when he mistook Viagra for a sleeping pill!

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, the Bourne Legacy star said that to help him rest, "somebody gave me some pills, like Ambien. So I took a little sleeping pill, popped it and realized nothing's happening -- but something else was happening! I realized very quickly that the 'A' was actually a little 'V' on the pill. Not only did I not sleep the entire flight, but there was...'camping'...happening!"

Jeremy admitted that he "was really embarrassed" by the incident, but fortunately most of the other passengers "were sleeping."
