Word has it SIMON COWELL has offered KATY PERRY and JOHN MAYER $20 MILLION to replace BRITNEY SPEARS and L.A. REID as judges on the next season of "X Factor".  Since Katy and John are apparently a couple, he thinks it could be a "brilliant" move to bring their chemistry to the show.  And if there's any relationship-bickering . . . even better! 

 

Seth MacFarlane says he won't return and Tina Fey doesn't want any part of the job, but Jimmy Kimmel is said to be the frontrunner to be next year's Oscars host.  According to the New York Post, ABC -- which owns the rights to the telecast through 2020 -- is pushing for Kimmel to MC. Execs were happy with his ratings in his post-Oscars show Sunday night, and they think he'd do a great job hosting the shindig.

 

A Georgia woman is suing Michael Jordan for child support -- for a kid she says he fathered in 1995. Pamela Smith says she hooked up with MJ back in the day and then gave birth to his son Grant Pierce Jay Jordan Reynolds in June 1996. Jordan was married at the time of the alleged tryst. Smith is asking for child support and money for the boy's medical expenses, and insists that Michael take a paternity test. She also wants a judge to change the kid's legal last name to Jordan.  A little late don’t you think… the kids already almost 18!

 

Now that "Snow White and the Huntsman" director RUPERT SANDERS is single, he's reportedly trying to get back with KRISTEN STEWART, but she wants nothing to do with him  A source says, quote, "In truth, she regrets ever getting involved with Rupert, because of how much it hurt ROBERT PATTINSON and the amount of public backlash she was subjected to."
