Nathan Sykes will be taking time off from The Wanted to undergo emergency surgery on his vocal cords.
A publisist for The Wanted released a statement, saying, 'We can confirm that The Wanted's Nathan Sykes will under go specialist throat surgery on Thursday, April 18 in Los Angeles and as such will be taking an unforeseen hiatus form The Wanted.'
He went on to say, 'The priority for Nathan, his label and management is that he is given time to recover and receive the best treatment possible.'
Sykes has had issues for a while and is currently suffering from a vocal chord hemorrhage. He won't be able to talk at all for at least a month following the surgery.
The band wished him well on Twitter, saying:
